Responsibilities Psychiatric Registered Nurse(RN) Fulltime/Nights

The 62-bed facility, located on the campus of Aiken Regional Medical Centers, is accredited by The Joint Commission. The facility offers comprehensive, individualized treatment services by a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, clinicians, mental health technicians and recreation therapists who are committed to high quality care.

The Registered Nurse provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Performs nursing assessments.
Develops nursing related programs as appropriate.
Performs initial precertifications and concurrant reviews on PHP patients
Tracks daily attendance, admissions and discharges of PHP patients.
Interacts with community agencies to establish mental health network.
Assists the Assessment and UR department as needed and able (e.g. answering RESPOND calls).
Reviews charts for physician orders and assures orders are completed as necessary
