The Horticulturist is responsible for the professional care and management of residential and commercial gardens. This position requires an understanding of seasonal changes in the garden and the cultural requirement of plants. The Horticulturist ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and according to company quality standards. They provide exceptional service to our clients through their expert horticultural practices and attention to detail. They ensure the outdoor space is clean, well maintained and client ready. Roots Landscape adheres to the regulations of the DHS I-9 E-Verify Program.
Garden Installation, Enhancement and Maintenance

Maintain and enhance diverse garden styles with precision and care.
Complete all garden maintenance tasks in a timely and detailed manner including; seasonal color installation, weeding, dead-heading, and cutbacks.
Exercise a creative design aesthetic for seasonal containers and plantings.
Demonstrate familiarity with irrigation systems and the diverse watering needs for plants.
Adherence to company safety policies and applicable OSHA regulations.
Consistent use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicles in clean and proper working conditions.
Customer & Team Communication
Serve as on-site contact for clients with a professional appearance and demeanor.
Address and resolve on-site challenges proactively.
Work as a team with an assistant, other horticulturists and managers to foster a positive work environment.
Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
