Counselor - Evening/Night

Community Youth Services is actively seeking Overnight Counselors for the Young Adult Shelter located in Olympia. This role is crucial in providing a secure and supportive environment for young adults aged 18-21 at Rosie’s Place Drop-In & Resource Center.

Ensure a safe and stable environment for youth during shelter hours (9:00 PM - 8:30 AM).

Work three 12-hour overnight shifts weekly, remaining awake throughout, beginning at 8:45 pm.

The starting wage is $21.71 to $24.25 per hour.

At least two years of direct experience or education in social sciences related to high-risk youth.

We highly value candidates who have personal experience overcoming challenges similar to those faced by our youth, providing them with unique empathy and understanding.

Must carry a cell phone during working hours.

Prepare evening snacks, track attendance, and manage participant identification and behavior.
