CNA - Medical Flex

The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a key role in supporting providers and the care team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare within a managed care environment. The MA performs both clinical and administrative duties to ensure efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and compliance with managed care protocols and quality metrics.
Escort patients to exam rooms, verify patient identity, obtain and document vital signs, chief complaint, and medical history in the electronic health record (EHR).
Administer immunizations, injections, and medications under the providers supervision and according to state and clinic policy.
Conduct pre-charting and ensure all required documentation, lab results, and preventive care items are updated prior to visits.
Participate in care coordination, follow-up on provider orders, referrals, and test results.
Support patient education on chronic disease management, preventive care, and treatment plans.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Handle phone calls, messages, and patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain medical inventory and order supplies as necessary.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
Performance Expectations:
Follow up on patient messages and care coordination tasks within designated timelines.
Demonstrate adherence to managed care protocols and quality indicators (HEDIS, Stars, etc.).
Exceptional customer service skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
A minimum of one year work experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.
Phlebotomy EKG and PFT Injection administration (Preferred).
Bilingual is a plus.
Knowledge of Managed Care (Preferred).
Hedis (Preferred).
