Liver Transplant and Transplant Hepatology Intermediate Care Unit

Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts

Schedule: Day and night shifts available; Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend or equivalent

Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020-$2,130

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or a compact state at the time of submission

At least 1 year of recent RN experience required; Prior PCU, IMC, step-down, or progressive care nursing experience strongly preferred

Epic charting experience required

Travel nursing experience required

Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations

Ability to care for patients with complex medical and post-operative needs

Strong communication skills and a commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care

Provide safe, high-quality nursing care in a progressive care and intermediate care environment

Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and support complex treatment plans

Interpret telemetry, dysrhythmias, and laboratory trends as part of ongoing patient monitoring

Care for patients requiring oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube management, and other advanced interventions within scope

Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, and rapid response resources

Document accurately in Epic and maintain timely, thorough charting

Support post-operative liver care and pre/post-op recovery needs

Deliver compassionate care while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety, teamwork, and quality outcomes
