Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to Emergency Department patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics
Perform triage assessments to prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical presentation
Deliver treatment interventions in accordance with established emergency care protocols
Coordinate and execute discharge planning and discharge care for ED patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice
Associate Degree in Nursing (A.S.) or equivalent required
Minimum one year of acute care experience
Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from an approved vendor (AHA or ARC)
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer
NIHSS certification and recent EPIC experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Prior experience in a high-volume or Level I/II trauma emergency department setting
