Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards
Operate unit equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo enteral feeding pumps, wound vacs, PCA pumps, and remote telemetry monitors
May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs
Required Qualifications
Current RN license; must be eligible for or currently licensed in the state of Missouri
Minimum 1 year of inpatient Medical Surgical experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association only
Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1
Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association only
Experience caring for patients with GI, GU, wound care, acute withdrawal, altered mental status, dialysis/ESRD, or minor surgical needs
Patient-focused and collaborative team-player approach to care delivery
