Overview TRC is seeking aProjectArchaeologistfor our Environmental Sector reporting to ourPlanning, Permitting, and Licensing Practice in Arkansas. This person will work on large-scale and small-scale projects in the region with work in other regions a possibility as well.The successful candidate will enjoy the challenges of working alongside others in a fast-paced environment and of helping to develop effective solutions to both expected and unexpected project challenges. The position will require frequent travel.
Direct all types of archeological projects, ranging from small local surveys through large, multi-year multi-state projects.
Handle planning, logistics, and supervision of fieldwork for projects as assigned and author reports, under the direction of the Project Manager/Principal Investigator.
Promote TRC safety and quality standards, policies and procedures and ensure field employees comply.
Ensure that all work and data collected are accurate, organized, and of high quality.
Abide by Company policies and procedures.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
A Master's degree in anthropology or archeologywith at least two years of experience in managing field workand report experience is strongly preferred.
Willing to travel, often with little advance notice.
Some experience in a variety of aspects of archeological fieldwork including survey, shovel testing, monitoring, and data recovery, and at least some supervisory experience.
Basic knowledge of state and federal regulations and environmental review processes and requirements.
Familiarity with digital field technology (GPS units, tablets, cameras).

Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
