Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
Schedule

• Shift Lengths: 3x12 or 4x12
• Days: Day shifts
• On-call required: Yes
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Assignment Details

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week for 3x12; 48 hrs/week for 4x12
• Orientation: 24 hours

Requirements

• Minimum years of RN experience: 1
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS (BLS), NIHSS
• EMR: Epic
• Clinical skills: Cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, pre/post cardiac cath care, pacemaker care, post-MI observation, care for patients transferred from ICU, general medical/surgical overflow care

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult patients requiring intermediate care, including those with cardiac conditions.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data and manage dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement care.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.

Compliance / Notes

• License: Pending licenses not accepted; state-specific rules apply.
• Labs: Must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing.
• Fit Testing: Facial hair must allow proper fit testing.
• RTO Restrictions: Max 7 days RTO; no RTO first week; no new RTO after submission.
