CTR Group is seeking several Conventional Machinists in Mobile, AL. Immediate openings and urgently hiring! Set up and operate manual mills, lathes, and related machining equipment to machine steel, aluminum, and alloy components. Interpret blueprints, sketches, and work instructions to determine machining methods, tooling, and sequence of operations. Measure, mark, and prepare raw material; Perform layout, drilling, tapping, boring, facing, and milling operations on a variety of part sizes. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet tolerances and quality standards; Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures related to machining, lifting, and material handling. Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and supervisors to support production schedules and resolve machining challenges. Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues promptly.

Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a Manual Machinist in a job-shop, fabrication, or manufacturing environment. Ability to lift 4050 lbs and work safely around fabrication and machining operations. Solid understanding of machining fundamentals, cutting tools, workholding, and material properties. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
