The hotel is located on 38th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues — two blocks from the 42nd Street-Bryant Park and four blocks from the 34th Street-Herald Square subway stations, and a half-block from 5th and 6th Street bus stops.
LodgeWorks is actively hiring for a server.
LodgeWorks is a privately held hotel development and management company. At LodgeWorks, hospitality is more than just the industry in which we work; The server makes a long-lasting impression and greatly influences the total guest experience. The position is responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages with care and other tasks as assigned by management. The server helps clean and sanitize all work areas, as well as practicing safe food handling. The server has a strong, confident presence at the table that is derived from their comprehensive food, wine and spirits knowledge.
Greet customers upon arrival to the restaurant.
Provide gracious and professional food and beverage service in an efficient manner. Set tables throughout the shift when applicable.
Retrieve and deliver food and beverage items in a timely manner.
Replenish beverages and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
Take food and beverage orders and place orders in point-of-sale system.
Ensure that the serving station is always clean and well-stocked.
Be knowledgeable of the menu, brands, prices and options, along with promotions and specials.
Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
Serve alcoholic/nonalcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations.
A team player with a heart for hospitality.
Customer-focused, with guests, clients and employees at the forefront of your thinking.
Aware that a good reputation is a huge asset to a hotel and committed to being a representative of that great reputation.
Capable of standing for an entire shift or for an extended amount of time.
At least one year of server experience.
