ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Perform a variety of cleaning activities which include, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, disposing trash and making beds
2. Ensure all rooms are cleaned and inspected according to 5 Star standards and within deadlines
3. Perform turn up and turn down services for guest rooms
4. Replenish guestroom and public area restrooms
5. Maintain professional etiquette with all guests and employees

1. Must greet all guests as though you are welcoming them to your own home
2. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
3. Respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner
4. Must meet Forbes Standards in all daily operations and guest interactions
5. Communicate any special requests to Housekeeping supervisor

1. Responsible for following standard operating procedures and safety regulations
2. Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times
3. Stock and maintain housekeeping cart

1. Assist public area attendant in cleaning and maintaining the public areas as needed
2. Assist with cleaning, folding, ironing and steaming of laundry as needed
3. Complete all assigned projects by the Housekeeping supervisor
4. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the Inn and its history
5. Must follow all disinfecting and sanitization policies

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

1. 6 months to 1 year of housekeeping experience
2. Must be able to work weekends and have a flexible work schedule
3. Excellent communication skills
4. Must be at least 16 years of age
5. Must be well-groomed and well-presented with no visible tattoos

Desirable

1. Familiarity with Forbes Standards
2. Ability to communicate with a language other than English, preferably Spanish or French
3. Prior experienced working in a 4 or 5 star luxury property

SKILLS

1. Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner
2. Ability to work independently, as well as in a close team environment
3. Ability to use standard housekeeping equipment, which include, but not limited to, a linen cart, vacuum, mop, broom and various chemicals for cleaning
4. Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
5. Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written
6. Ability to speak using clear and professional language
7. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
8. Ability to cross-train across multiple departments and assist when needed
9. Must always be compliant with quality assurance expectations and standards
10. Ability to complete assigned work in a timely manner

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

1. Must be able to lift 30+ lbs
2. Able to stand, bend and walk for long periods of time
3. Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting and climbing
