DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join a public accounting team in Appleton, Wisconsin. This position focuses on delivering accurate individual tax services while contributing to long-term planning strategies for clients. The role also offers the opportunity to review completed filings, provide technical guidance, and support bookkeeping-related tax work using QuickBooks.Responsibilities:• Prepare accurate individual income tax returns in compliance with current tax regulations and filing requirements.• Examine completed tax filings, verify supporting details, and approve returns with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.• Partner with colleagues to develop multi-year tax planning approaches that align with client financial goals.• Analyze tax documents and financial records to identify reporting issues, planning opportunities, and areas requiring follow-up.• Use QuickBooks to support tax-related bookkeeping activities and maintain organized financial information for return preparation.• Communicate with internal team members and clients to gather documentation, clarify tax positions, and resolve outstanding questions.Requirements• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in tax accounting, preferably within a public accounting environment.• Demonstrated expertise in preparing individual income tax returns, including Form 1040 filings.• Proven ability to review tax returns thoroughly and ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards.• Experience contributing to tax planning strategies designed for multi-year financial outcomes.• Working knowledge of QuickBooks Pro for bookkeeping support and tax preparation processes.• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information accurately and efficiently.
