This position provides genetic counseling to individuals and families at risk for hereditary disorders.

At Logan Health, we believe in the power of knowledge, compassion, and connection. As a Genetic Counselor, you'll play a vital role in helping patients and families navigate complex genetic information with clarity and confidence. As a Genetic Counselor, you will:
Conduct comprehensive patient and family assessments, including medical and family history, diagnosis review, and care planning
Analyze genetic and family history data to assess individualized risk and provide tailored counseling
Partner with providers and care teams to support appropriate referrals, care coordination, and genetic testing
Educate patients and families by translating complex genetic concepts into clear, compassionate, and understandable information
Interpret laboratory and genetic testing results and communicate findings to patients, families, and providers
Address psychosocial and ethical considerations related to genetic conditions and testing
Collaborate with pediatric, prenatal, and specialty care teams as applicable to provide comprehensive genetic counseling services
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and professional standards within scope of practice
Triage patients for additional consultation with state or specialty genetics programs when appropriate
Master's degree in Genetic Counseling required
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in genetic counseling or a related field required
Strong knowledge of genetic counseling practices, clinical standards, and patient care principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems quickly
