The Cost Accountant will play a critical role in providing accurate financial and cost analysis to support decision-making and drive operational efficiency. This position will be heavily involved in ERP system implementation and integration, ensuring cost accounting practices and reporting are aligned with business objectives. The Cost Accountant will work closely with operations, finance, and IT teams to deliver reliable insights, strengthen financial controls, and support continuous improvement across the organization.
Support the Monthly Close of Financial statement, prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports
Ensure adherence to GAAP, local/state/federal reporting requirements, coordinate with external auditors
Prepare Accounts Reconciliation and review financial transactions
Assist in budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Oversee general ledger management, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
Perform financial analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend strategies for revenue growth
Support the successful implementation and integration of ERP systems, ensuring accurate cost accounting processes and reporting.
Analyze production costs, inventory, and variances; Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to track material, labor, and overhead costs, ensuring accurate product costing and margin analysis.
Monitor key cost and financial metrics, proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP standards, and internal controls.
Assist in special projects, audits, and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
Establish and maintain accounting controls, review processes, and identify improvements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting, and cost control.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
Three (3) to five (5) years of accounting experience.
Experience with large-scale ERP systems in a manufacturing setting (implementation, training, or process improvement).
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain processes, and financial impacts.
Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights for non-financial stakeholders.
Proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence process improvements.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and propose informed decisions
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office products
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor.
Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
