Travel RN-Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse needed in Bridgeport, CT (06606). 13-week travel contract, 12-hour night shifts (3 per week). Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse (Travel RN)
Shift: 12-hour nights
Shifts per Week: 3
Active RN license in the state of Connecticut (or multistate compact RN license)
Minimum 1 year recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) nursing experience as a Registered Nurse
Experience with fetal monitoring / Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) and maternal-newborn assessments
Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced hospital labor & delivery environment
Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
Assist physicians and midwives during vaginal deliveries, operative deliveries, and L&D procedures
Administer medications, IVs, and oxytocin per orders and hospital protocols
Perform maternal and newborn assessments, support breastfeeding initiation, and provide postpartum education to patients and families
Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation in the electronic health record
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (OB, pediatrics, anesthesia) to ensure optimal maternal-newborn outcomes
