Landscaping/Groundskeeper (Seasonal)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Groundskeeper to maintain the exterior appearance and safety of our office building. You will be responsible for seasonal light landscaping, exterior cleaning, and general preventative maintenance to ensure a pristine, welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Landscaping & Lawn Care: Plant and prune flowers, shrubs, and trees, and pull weeds as needed.

Exterior Cleaning: Sweep sidewalks, entryways, and parking lots. Empty outdoor trash receptacles and remove litter from the property. Exterior window washing as needed.

Seasonal Maintenance: Winter: Apply salt/de-icer to walkways and parking areas during winter. Clear fallen leaves and debris in the fall. Spring and Summer, maintain fallen leaves, debris, and rubbish around the properties.

Facility Upkeep: Perform minor exterior repairs (e.g., fixing loose bricks, painting, pressure washing building facades). Maintain outdoor furniture and signage. Notify management as supplies need ordering.

Irrigation & Lighting: Monitor. Replace burnt-out exterior light bulbs and report larger security or lighting issues to management.

Safety & Compliance: Identify and address potential safety hazards (e.g., icy steps, uneven pavement, low-hanging branches).

Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Associate degree in landscaping a plus.

Proven experience in commercial landscaping, grounds maintenance, or a related field.

Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, snow blowers).

Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Basic knowledge of plant care, irrigation systems, and seasonal yard work.
