Description

American Traveler is hiring an OR RN Circulator with 2+ years perioperative experience, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required, plus regular on-call rotation.

Details

Perioperative nursing role in the operating room and other perioperative service areas

Day shift schedule with 5x8-hour shifts per week

Regular scheduled on-call rotation for the Surgery Unit required

Cares for all patient populations undergoing surgical procedures

Requirements

Active RN license with OR specialty required

Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience required

Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS

Ability to work independently and make decisions based on measurable or verifiable criteria

Ability to direct and supervise assigned personnel

Additional Information

Acts as circulating nurse and patient advocate throughout the intraoperative surgical experience

Responsible for protecting patients from injury caused by chemical, electrical, laser, mechanical, and thermal sources

Performs counting procedures to prevent unintended retained surgical items

Provides direction and supervision to personnel assigned during procedures
