General Comments: Hospital: Ogden Regional Medical Center Location: NICU Address: 5475 South 500 East Unit: NICU General Information Number of Beds: 17 bed unit with capacity to 22 beds; Level III NICU Cost Center: 675 Length of contract: 8 weeks each contract FT contract, 72 hours ppd Shift: 1 day shift contract (0500 1700)/1 night shift contract (1700-0500) Patient Ratios: Feeder grower 1:3 higher acuity 1:2 Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): CNA/Sec avail 0600-0000; NICU RT dedicated 0600-0000; Clinical Nurse Sup/Charge RN Type of equipment: Vent, CR monitors, Vapotherm, CPAP, IV, Documentation system: Meditech, paper flow sheet Scheduling requirements: 3 shifts per week Floating policy: On Call Expectations: 1 call shift per pay period Weekend Requirement: every other weekend Patient Experience requirements: preferably 1 year NICU experience with NICU level III experience, no new graduates Hospital Specifics- Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE and PALS required Hiring profile Must have: ability to work with families during stressful hospitalizations, ability to narrate care and inform parents, ability to interact with physicians to report change in condition, Advanced skills needed: IV placement, Neonatal Abstinence Scoring, hypoglycemia management, emergency response (i.e. Code response) Procedures performed on unit: All neonatal specific cares, ROP exams, assist MD with bedside procedures including intubation, central line placement, chest tube placement, etc. Certifications Required: RN LICENSE & BLS, NRP, STABLE and PALS required Dress Code: Facility provided Women s and Children s Specific scrubs Weekends/Oncall (if any): n/a Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: 2 Board Certified Neonatologist with complimentary team of NNP.
