RN - Registered Nurse - ICU - Neurology (Weekend Position)

Intermediate Care Unit - MA RN Position Details This contract guarantees 72 hours biweekly on all assignments, excluding any on-call hours worked.

An active MA RN license is required at the time of application.

Shift 12-hour rotating day and night shifts with every other weekend required.

Unit and Patient Population Floating to the Neuro ICU floor from the Neuro IMCU may be required.

The unit consists of:

18 intermediate care beds

18 general neuroscience beds located in the Rosenberg building

Patient care includes management of: Arterial lines

External ventricular drains (EVDs)

Lumbar drains

Post-operative day zero neurological cases

Acute thrombectomies

Administration of TPA

Some vasoactive infusions

Experience and Qualifications Required experience with EVDs, lumbar drains, and arterial lines

Patient ratio of 1:3

Minimum of three years of related work experience

CPR-AHA ACLS certification required

NIHSS continuing education

Basic proficiency with web-based applications

Experience using the Epic Medical Records system

Additional Requirements and Notes Local travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted

Immediate start dates are available

Orientation sessions are held weekly on Mondays, excluding holidays

Interviews will be scheduled with offers; availability must be provided at the time of application

All requests for return-to-office arrangements must be submitted with the application

Applicants who have worked for this health system as permanent or per diem staff within the last six months are ineligible; a six-month separation is required

Parking fees may apply and can be several dollars per day
