Steward (FULLTIME)

The Steward properly clean, store and maintain all washable items within a sanitary and safe working environment.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*** Operates dishwashing equipment to ensure adequate supplies of clean and sanitary tableware at all times.* Maintains personal hygiene and sanitation standards as established by Health Department.* Follows proper food storage, handling and preparation standards.* Maintains a clean and safe work environment through regular floor maintenance, trash removal, proper storage of equipment and cleaning of Dish area prior to the end of each shift.* Handles and uses chemicals needed to clean and sanitize tableware in a safe manner.* Complete all training requirements.* EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:*** High school diploma/GED preferred.**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY*** Experience in and passion for consumer service* Willingness to learn new skills and be a team player* An attitude of flexibility and mindfulness about the team approach* Clean and clear service areas* Follow proper procedures as disclosed in Standard Operating Procedures as explained to staff**TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:*** INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT**:* Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures.
