PROGRAM SUPERVISOR
The Program Supervisor oversees a single program or unit, supporting 4‑8 individuals in residential settings or 10‑15 in day or vocational programs. Duties include direct support, program activities, and supervisory responsibilities.SUMMARY
Pay Class: Full Time
Site Location: Manoway Bay- San Antonio TX
Required: Valid Driver’s License with one year clean driving history
Position Type: Full‑time, non‑exempt, hourly supervisor role.
Scope of Role: Supervises direct support professionals, manages day‑to‑day operations, and provides direct support for the remaining hours (8‑16 flexible hours per week in supervisory capacity).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, a candidate must be able to satisfactorily execute each of the following functions.Services and Supports
Work scheduled shifts as a direct support professional.
Document records, review individual records, billing, and program documentation daily for accuracy.
Assist the Program Director in developing individual program plans; train and monitor implementation across all shifts.
Attend routine progress meetings.
Assist the Program Director in maintaining licensing compliance and implementing the compliance plan.
Manage individual assets, ensuring safety of funds and monitoring spending.
Complete or assist DSPs in incident reports; submit initial reports to the Program Director.
Compile census or attendance data; review accuracy and submit to the Program Director.
Health Care
Monitor health, document, and communicate with medical professionals; implement preventive strategies.
Schedule or assist in scheduling health care appointments; accompany individuals as needed.
Accurately administer or support self‑administration of medication; review documentation and communicate changes; maintain medication security.
Purchase and maintain medical supplies and equipment; train staff on proper use.
Develop menus, purchase and oversee food supplies, and monitor dietary planning.
Stakeholder Relations
Maintain professional relations with individuals, families, case managers, and other stakeholders.
Implement and train staff on Sevita Customer Service Standards.
Personnel
Assist recruitment and interview DSPs in consultation with the Area Director and Talent Acquisition teams.
Populate and maintain schedules to cover all shifts and minimize overtime.
Assist with onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training; verify training records.
Prepare and conduct annual evaluations for DSPs.
Coach employees, handle discipline, and recommend terminations with Program Director consultation.
Ensure employee safety and compliance with workers’ compensation and safety standards.
Lead monthly program meetings for DSPs and document agendas and attendance.
Financial Management
Purchase food, household, office supplies and minor equipment; manage credit card statements and invoices.
Secure and manage individuals’ served funds, update ledgers weekly.
Review census and utilization data for accurate billing.
Monitor staffing hours for budget compliance.
Census Management
Capture daily census and ensure timely documentation.
Understand census performance metrics and escalates potential disruptions.
Support placement preparation (room, furniture, safety requirements).
Maintenance
Conduct monthly vehicle inspections and maintenance; train staff on vehicle operation.
Schedule and monitor housekeeping, lawn, and yard care; maintain a safe living environment.
Arrange or make minor repairs; monitor environmental safety and equipment.
Monitor safety equipment and replace filters monthly.
Other Duties
Perform additional duties as required, including backfilling roles.
Use Mobile Punch Authorized for timekeeping.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise Direct Support Professionals.
Manage personnel, complete evaluations, orientation, and training; make decisions on hires, promotions, salary changes, discipline, and terminations.
Resolve employee problems within position responsibilities.
Minimum Knowledge and Skills
High School diploma or equivalent.
One‑year related work experience.
Must be 18 years or older.
Working knowledge of computers.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Current driver’s license, car registration, and auto insurance if driving on behalf of the company.
Other licensure(s) or certification(s) required by regulatory authority.
Work Environment
Provides and oversees services in residential, vocational, or in‑home settings.
Program Supervisor visits each shift and all employees at least once per month, including periodic or hourly services.
Physical Requirements
Heavy work: Exert up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
