Head of Programme Management

Responsibilities

Manage suppliers on the Theater Strike Weapon System Advanced Program, including contract administration and performance oversight.

Control cost, schedule, and technical performance for multiple suppliers.

Coordinate expedited procurement activities with cross‑functional stakeholders.

Lead distributed cross‑functional subcontract management teams (Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Planning, Finance).

Make informed decisions that influence subcontractor performance.

Oversee milestone objectives to meet schedules and contractual specifications.

Present supplier performance to program executives, LOB executives, and external DoD customers.

Execute Supply Chain Cost Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities as needed.

Manage impacts on subcontractor cost and program schedule.

Balance program schedule milestones with functional compliance requirements.

Negotiate and coordinate modifications to subcontracts.

Develop relationships with supplier leadership.

Travel up to 25% to subcontractor locations.

Location and Working Conditions

This position is an onsite, full‑time role located near our Lockheed Martin Space facilities in Denver, CO or Rocket City, USA (Huntsville, AL). Teleworking is not supported.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education/experience) from an accredited institution.

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Project Management.

Hands‑on experience managing milestone schedules.

Experience in the missile industry, thriving in metric‑driven environments.

U.S. citizenship with current U.S. Secret clearance (or ability to obtain it).

Successful completion of drug and background checks for access to classified information.

Ability to travel up to 25%.

Desired Skills

Experience working with subcontractors.

Earned‑Value (EVM) and Control‑Account (CAM) management (certification a plus).

Cross‑functional IPT/SMT leadership (quality, finance, engineering).

Aerospace/defense domain experience (avionics, missile, ground systems).

Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills.

Growth mindset focused on continuous process improvement.

Operations or operations‑leadership experience.
