Preop Registered Nurse
Schedule
4 ten-hour shifts per week, from 12 PM to 10 PM. Weekday only, with no weekends or holidays required.
Job Description
This position is for a Preop Registered Nurse in a surgical center environment. The role involves providing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, with responsibilities including preoperative care, IV administration, and assisting in the scrubbing process.
Responsibilities
Conduct preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
Administer IV medications and monitor patients' vital signs.
Provide education and support to patients and their families.
Assist surgeons and medical teams during surgical procedures.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices within the surgical environment.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Current BLS certification.
Strong IV skills and surgical care knowledge.
Experience in scrubbing and preoperative care.
Familiarity with Allscripts EMR; experience with EPIC preferred.
