Quality Checker 2nd Shift

Hi-Tek Manufacturing is searching for experienced Airflow Quality Inspector for 2nd shift who wishes to continuing developing his or her career as an Airflow Quality Inspector through advanced manufacturing technology by executing a higher level of workmanship. **2nd shift offers a generous shift differential** 3:30pm-12:00am Mon-Fri *OT may be required as needed
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the operator is responsible for following all policies and procedures associated with the various parts and equipment that he or she will be trained and certified to run. In addition, operators load/unload parts to fulfil production demands, inspect parts using various precision measuring tools, accept or reject parts, and communicate any changes, both verbally and in writing.

Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications
Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and airflow equipment as necessary such as borescopes, rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers
Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances to complete inspection as required
Clean parts using chemical degreaser and parts wash machine
Prep parts using foil tape and sealing wax
Perform and Document Scheduled Airflow test including but not limited to Shut-off valve test, System leak test, and Flow restrictions test and record results
Load and unload parts for airflow, and or other testing as required
Perform, and Document scheduled airflow test log and reports
Documents actions by updating control charts, travelers, and reporting labor in the ERP system
Perform under AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditation
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.
Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE
Effective communication and people skills to maintain a working relationship with Quality, Engineering, and Management
Any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization’s values
Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of prior experience with visual, airflow, and dimensional inspections of aerospace / gas turbine components required
• Experience working in a Quality System certified to ISO9001, AS9100, or Nadcap a plus
• Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, aerospace industry preferred

Reliable attendance within acceptable standards of attendance policy
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English
Must be able to clearly communicate information to others verbally and in writing in English
Operate overhead crane or other lifting equipment when necessary
Stand at least 50% of scheduled shift
Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and materials
