This role focuses on shipping features end-to-end across a modern web frontend, serverless backend services, and AI-augmented workflows that transform how public safety and enterprise professionals interact with spatial data. You will work on mission-critical 9-1-1 and enterprise applications, leveraging modern cloud platforms and AI frameworks to deliver intelligent geospatial solutions.What You'll DoDesign and develop cloud-native, AI-integrated microservices and full-stack applicationsIntegrate AI/ML capabilities into geospatial applications using enterprise AI platforms and LLM APIsContribute to autonomous features for data quality validation, spatial analysis, and workflow automationBuild serverless services and RESTful APIs for geospatial dataApply security guardrails, multi-tenant isolation, and compliance measures to AI-powered featuresAdopt AI-assisted software development practices, including AI-augmented code review and intelligent DevOpsIntegrate enterprise GIS platforms and spatial data processing capabilitiesContribute to CI/CD pipelines using infrastructure-as-code principlesParticipate in code reviews and help establish engineering best practicesWhat You Need to SucceedRequiredBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)3+ years of full-stack web application development experienceProficiency in modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) and TypeScript/JavaScriptBackend development experience in Node.js, Python, or a comparable languageHands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIsWorking knowledge of microservices and serverless conceptsFamiliarity with relational databases and SQLExperience writing automated tests and treating tests as part of the definition of doneComfort with version control, collaborative development, and agile methodologiesPreferredExposure to enterprise GIS technologies (Esri ArcGIS, MapLibre, Mapbox, PostGIS) or other spatial dataExperience building AI-powered features, agentic workflows, or LLM integrationsFamiliarity with prompt engineering and AI development frameworksCloud certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, or DevOps)Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestrationUnderstanding of indoor mapping standards or public safety GIS workflowsAwareness of SOC 2 and/or FedRAMP compliance requirementsExperience with test automation and test-driven developmentExperience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar)CompensationThe approximate compensation range for this position is $130,000 to $149,600.
