The Central Region Systems Engineering organization within the Northrop Grumman Space Systems pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances in various sciences. Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Systems Engineer - Level 5 based out of Aurora, CO.Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work. Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of applicationBachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of relevant experience; 8 years of relevant experience with a PhDExperience with requirements development, decomposition, software verification, and generating system and segment-level test procedureExperience working on Agile programs and methodologyExperience using Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence)Experience with Cameo and DOORSStrong written and oral communications skillsPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with full engineering life cycle and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)Experience with Cameo, STK, Python, MATLAB, Automated TestingPrimary Level Salary Range: $177,000.00 - $265,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
