We are committed to providing compassionate, clinically sound, recovery-focused care for individuals affected by substance use disorders, mental health conditions, trauma, and co-occurring disorders.

We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our clinical team and provide psychotherapy, clinical social work services, substance abuse counseling, case coordination, and recovery‑support services in a multidisciplinary treatment environment.

Position Summary The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides clinical assessment, individual therapy, group counseling, family engagement, crisis intervention, treatment planning, discharge planning, and care coordination for adults and families receiving detox and recovery services.

The ideal candidate has experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, co‑occurring disorders, crisis intervention, ASAM-informed care, group treatment, family engagement, and individualized treatment planning.

Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, substance use screenings, risk assessments, and level-of-care reviews using ASAM criteria as applicable to the program setting.

Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans, relapse‑prevention plans, recovery goals, discharge plans, and continuing‑care recommendations.

Provide individual, group, and family counseling or therapy for adults and families experiencing substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and co‑occurring disorders within the provider’s scope of practice.

Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, de‑escalation, relapse‑prevention support, and referral or escalation to emergency or higher levels of care when clinically indicated.

Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, case managers, peer support staff, medical providers, families, courts, referral sources, and community resources to coordinate care.

Educate clients and families on addiction, mental health, co‑occurring disorders, coping strategies, medication adherence as applicable, recovery resources, and aftercare planning.

Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation in the electronic health record in accordance with agency policy, Georgia requirements, payer standards, accreditation standards, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2 as applicable, and professional ethics.

Participate in clinical supervision, case consultation, treatment team meetings, staff meetings, utilization‑review support, quality‑improvement activities, and ongoing professional development.

Required Qualifications Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited social work program meeting Georgia clinical social work licensure requirements.

Active Georgia Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in good standing.

Experience working with adults and families affected by substance use disorders, mental health conditions, trauma, housing or social‑service needs, and co‑occurring disorders preferred.

Knowledge of ASAM criteria, DSM-informed assessment, crisis intervention, treatment planning, discharge planning, resource linkage, and ethical clinical documentation.

Ability to provide clinical social work services, psychotherapy, family engagement, advocacy, and care coordination within Georgia LCSW scope of practice and agency policy.

Preferred Experience and Competencies Experience in inpatient detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, outpatient behavioral health, crisis stabilization, or community mental health.

Experience treating co‑occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Knowledge of evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT skills, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, relapse-prevention counseling, and 12 Step/recovery-support approaches.

Familiarity with electronic health record documentation systems and multidisciplinary treatment‑team workflows.

Commitment to ethical, trauma-informed, client-centered, and recovery-oriented care.

Schedule Monday through Friday.

Weekends as needed.

Evening hours may be required based on client and program needs.

Scope of Practice and Compliance The LCSW provides clinical social work and psychotherapy services within Georgia licensure scope, agency policies, payer requirements, and applicable professional standards.

The employee must maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in compliance with HIPAA, applicable substance use confidentiality protections, professional licensing or certification rules, agency policy, state and federal standards, and all required clinical supervision or consultation procedures.

Work Environment This position is based in a detox and recovery clinic serving adults and families. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and may involve supporting clients with complex behavioral health, substance use, crisis, social-service, and discharge-planning needs.
