Host/Hostess Position

A busy restaurant group located in Boston is seeking a warm and welcoming Host/Hostess to greet and seat guests. Experience in the restaurant industry is a MUST for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities (not all-inclusive):

Greet guests as they arrive and ensure they feel welcomed.

Manage the waitlist and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.

Communicate with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure seamless service.

Answer phone calls, take reservations, and provide information about the restaurant and menu.

Assist with guest inquiries and accommodate special requests.

Maintain a clean and organized reception area.

Ensure a smooth and efficient seating process, balancing guest preferences with operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a host/hostess in a high-volume restaurant.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Restaurant industry experience is required.
