About the Position
Primary Care Physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine)
Seeking a Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to provide outpatient primary care coverage in a collaborative ambulatory practice. The provider will manage acute and chronic medical conditions, preventive care, and post-hospital follow-up while supporting patient care through EPIC inbox management.
Compensation: Orientation: $195/hr, Hourly: $195/hr, Holiday Hourly: $290/hr, Overtime: $290/hr.
Schedule

Monday-Friday

6-8 hours of patient care daily

Approximately 2 hours of administrative/inbox management each day

30-minute unpaid lunch

No weekends

No call

Assignment expected to begin as soon as credentialed (target November), with a minimum 3-month commitment and potential extension to 6-9 months
Practice Setting

Outpatient Primary Care

Adult patient population

Minimum of 16 patient visits per day

May provide coverage at one of three primary care offices in Farmington, Maine

Collaborative team consisting of approximately 12 physicians and 15 APPs

No residents or fellows
Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat acute and chronic medical conditions

Annual wellness visits

Post-hospitalization follow-up

Preventive care

Medication refills

Review laboratory and diagnostic results

Manage referrals

Respond to patient advice requests and EPIC inbox messages

EMR: EPIC

Requirements

Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

Active Maine license or Active IMLC (highly preferred)

COVID-19 vaccination required

Influenza vaccination required

EPIC experience required

NPDB Self-Query completed within 30 days of presentation

Two supervisor references and one peer reference from the past 12 months

Must provide total years of clinical experience

Must provide years of locum tenens experience

Must be internally credentialed with presenting agency

Completion of required professional history and disclosure questionnaire
Travel

Flight reimbursement (coach only)

Hotel reimbursement up to $200/night

Standard rental car reimbursement

Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate

Strong, collaborative physician support team.

Providers with an active Maine license may be able to start sooner due to expedited credentialing.
