Develop robust and reliable manufacturing processes related to welding and painting to support regular operations, NPD programs, and productivity initiatives at the ThermoKing Greenville facility. The Manufacturing Engineer should meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity metrics and implementation schedules while mentoring the operations team in all welding and eco‑at operations.

Apply highly technical skills in developing welding and painting processes to achieve Process Control and Capability requirements while meeting safety requirements.

Define process parameters, specifications, approval protocols, runoff, and installation requirements for NPDs and capital equipment related to welding and painting processes.

Develop, maintain, and improve welding and painting operations through deep analysis of critical finishing requirements and specifications.

Design or select best‑in‑class equipment and processes, define inspection protocols, and develop process monitoring and support engineering, customer and design requirements.

Analyze, develop, and implement process improvements in painting operations for scroll and screw processes.

Perform administrative tasks as part of project implementation: purchase orders and follow‑up for capital, equipment, fixtures, and tools.

Measure, analyze, and improve indicators in SQDIP (scrap, FPY, DPU’s, downtime, and efficiency of painting line equipment).

Develop and update Process Flows, PFMEAs, Control Plans, Work Instructions, Standard Works, and ergonomic studies related to machining and assembly processes and follow up to the EHS scorecard metrics.

Assure the setup process and apply SMED on welding fixture changes.

Degree preferred in Engineering or related technical disciplines.

Previous related engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to accurately assess manufacturing issues related to process and design.

Results‑driven to maintain accountability and customer focus.

Annual Base Salary Range Or Hourly Base Pay Range

$The actual compensation will depend on seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation. Additionally, benefits may vary depending on the region, business alignment, union involvement, and employee status.
