Registered Nurse In The Medical Intensive Care Unit

The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have at least 18 months of MICU experience, with 2 years preferred. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. Floating to other facilities within a designated radius may be required to meet needs. All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application. The facility maintains a smoke-free environment. Candidates must pass a negative drug screen, including nicotine, prior to starting. Additional certifications and tests will be required during the initial orientation period. The environment is a short-term acute care facility with a teaching designation. All travelers are expected to familiarize themselves with time-sensitive modules upon confirmation of the assignment.

Experience: 18 months MICU experience required; 2 years preferred.

License: Current nursing license required.

Certifications: Required certifications include BLS and ACLS (must have at time of submission). NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start. Must-Have: EPIC experience is required. Candidates must be nicotine-free, with no exceptions.
