About the Role The Meat Cutter is responsible for preparing high-quality cuts of meat in compliance with company standards while providing outstanding customer service. This role uses tools and machinery safely, stocks and cleans displays, and ensures the highest levels of food safety and sanitation.
What You’ll Do Smile and greet customers, providing prompt and courteous service.
Perform different meat cuts as directed by the Meat Manager.
Accommodate and stock display cases and coolers as required.
Respond to customer requests while ensuring honesty in packaging, weighing, and pricing.
Assist coworkers (dispatchers, fillers, cutters) with cuts and questions.
Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
Follow food safety, health codes, and dress code standards.
Report on equipment issues immediately.
Work safely, respecting coworkers and customers.
Operate cars, trucks, forklifts, and moving equipment.
Work near equipment and machinery; What We’re Looking For Knowledge of consumer products and meat cuts.
Basic understanding of English language.
Fast-paced retail meat department with direct customer interaction.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
