Human Resources and Payroll Generalist

We are looking for an HR Coordinator to support a wholesale distribution organization in San Francisco, California on a Contract basis. This role will provide hands-on assistance across daily human resources operations, helping maintain compliance, employee records, and timekeeping processes during a contract coverage period. The ideal candidate brings prior HR experience, confidence using Insperity, and a proactive communication style that helps keep work moving efficiently.Responsibilities:• Support day-to-day human resources activities, including employee record upkeep and general administrative coordination.• Assist with I-9 documentation review and audit preparation to help maintain compliance standards.• Review and approve employee timecards accurately and in a timely manner using the company’s HR and payroll systems.• Respond to HR-related questions from employees and managers with professionalism, clarity, and follow-through.• Partner with internal stakeholders to gather needed information, resolve routine issues, and keep HR tasks on schedule.• Help coordinate pre-employment screening processes prior to employee start dates.• Use Insperity and related HRIS tools to manage payroll and timekeeping support for the employee population.• Provide contract coverage for key HR coordination needs while the organization searches for an ongoing team member.
