Rehab PTA - Full Time

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work full time on-site at Wilshire Physical Therapy in Los Angeles, CA, supporting licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality, individualized care. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with therapeutic exercise programs, manual therapy techniques, and use of clinical equipment as directed by the supervising therapist. The role involves preparing treatment areas, guiding patients through prescribed interventions, monitoring progress, and documenting services accurately in the patient record. The Physical Therapist Assistant will educate patients on home exercise programs, safety, and injury prevention, while helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment. Collaboration with therapists and administrative staff is essential to coordinate appointments, support smooth clinic operations, and uphold the clinic’s standards of excellence and compassionate care.
Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program and active PTA license or eligibility for licensure in the state of California.
Demonstrated skills in Physical Therapy support and Rehabilitation, including implementing treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
Strong Patient Care and Quality Patient Care skills, with the ability to provide compassionate, respectful, and safe assistance to individuals with diverse needs.
Knowledge of Orthopedics, including common musculoskeletal conditions, post-surgical protocols, and orthopedic rehabilitation principles.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain exercises clearly and motivate patients throughout the rehabilitation process.
Basic computer skills for electronic health record documentation; prior outpatient orthopedics or sports medicine experience is preferred but not required.
