Process Engineer Intern
New-Indy Oxnard LLC is currently accepting resumes for an internship as a Process Engineer at the paper mill located in Oxnard, CA. The selected individual will receive experience in operations pertaining to the paper-making process. Internship projects vary from year to year and are based on current business needs at the time of the internship. Specific details will be provided prior to your starting date, but all projects are technical and require a sound understanding of engineering principles.
Specific functions will be dependent on the intern's degree concentration

Provides Production, Maintenance and the Technical team's support
Assist with developing operator interfaces to promote efficient operation, effective standard operation procedures (SOPs) and improved process monitoring of key operating parameters.
Assists with gathering and analyzing data used in continuous improvement efforts.
May assist in maintenance projects that involve instrumentation and process control.
Apply core engineering concepts to solve complex, unfamiliar and novel problems
Full ownership of assigned project and present findings to management team by end of internship
Must be in the process of pursuing a Paper Science, Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical engineering degree
Ability to learn various Company software packages
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite

Dates of internship: These dates are flexible based on student's availability. This is a paid non-exempt internship position. In addition to salary, the intern will be provided a stipend to help offset housing costs.
Pay Transparency: The starting hourly rate range for this opportunity is $23.00-$26.00 per hour.
