Managing Head of Retail Sales

Job Summary Sales Manager - La‑Z‑Boy Furniture Galleries, Waldorf, MD. Base salary plus unlimited commission. Lead a high‑end showroom, oversee sales floor, coach staff, drive sales objectives, and uphold brand standards.
Responsibilities Achieve or surpass store and individual sales goals, annual operating benchmarks, and personal objectives.
Promote in‑home design program and champion a consistent selling process.
Coach, train, and support sales teams to improve techniques and overall performance.
Build a motivated and cohesive team by recognizing achievements, addressing concerns, and fostering a positive work environment.
Recruit, train, mentor staff to meet sales targets and maintain brand alignment.
Ensure store layout, product presentation, and employee interactions reflect the brand’s image and values.
Support company‑wide marketing initiatives, promotions, and events.
Resolve customer concerns, ensure operational excellence, and maintain cleanliness and visual standards.
Execute all existing and new systems and administrative procedures accurately.
Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent.
1‑3 years retail sales experience with a focus on sales.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, with financial understanding and analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal communication and team‑management abilities.
Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications Experience managing a retail sales environment with a strong focus on sales.
Advanced interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
Business acumen and strategic thinking.
Compensation Base salary: $10,400 per year.
Unlimited commission: 6% on La‑Z‑Boy Design Sales, 4% on other sales.
Monthly bonus opportunity up to $1,500 based on store sales goals.
Potential gross earnings after training: $60,000‑$80,000+.
