Through training, teamwork, and exposure to challenging technical work, let Leidos show how to accelerate your career path.Leidos has an exciting opening for you, our next TS/SCI cleared Database Administrator to play a critical role on the DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) Program where we support our client’s mission to centralize and standardize Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (TCPED) of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) across the DoD and IC enterprise. We integrate off the shelf and newly development software to sustain and enhance the TCPED platform. We leverage cloud-based computing, artificial intelligence (Al), machine learning (ML) and cross-domain transfer systems to provide cutting edge data exploitation, enrichment, triage, and analytics capabilities to Defense and Intelligence Community members. DTP advances the state of the art in mission-focused big data analytics tools and micro-service development spanning the breadth of Agile sprints to multiyear research and development cycles. While most work is conducted on-site at our client location in Bethesda, MD, we offer a flexible schedule and, occasionally, some tasks may be performed remotely.Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment and possess a solid understanding of the software development life cycle all while working within an Agile framework.You will work closely with the team on the following key tasksCollaborate and work with a diverse group of engineers in developing solutions for extracting, transforming and loading (ETL) heterogeneous datasetsAdminister, maintain, upgrade, and optimize databases to address technical debtDesign, maintain, and improve database schemas and data modelsParticipate in engineering design sessions to understand dependencies and interactions with POSTMAN data storesDocument database design, implementation and interactions with other systemsDefine formats and structure for data exports/importsDefine APIs to share data; identifying endpoints, authentication, authorization, segmentation, structure, and formatManage multiple database instances and interactions to insure data consistency across the POSTMAN platformSupport CI/CD automation, code promotion, and deployment operationsParticipate in daily scrums and program increment planning sessionsTo be successful in this role you need these skills (required):Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree with 6 years of relevant experience or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degreePossess a DoD TS/SCI security clearance and be able to obtain a DoD TS/SCI with PolygraphAbility to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA); must have Security+ and cloud certifications to quality for access3+ year administering databases including but not limited to: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle3+ years of database scripting using interface tools that include command line interfaces3+ years of hands-on experience in designing database schema, data models (Relational, Entity-Relationship, Object-based, etc.) and performance tuningExperience with administrating databases both on-premises and on the cloud platformsExperience with monitoring database health and developing solutions to mitigate risks of performance and Service-level Agreements (SLAs)Experience working with a highly technical team and in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentExperience segregating data access through record locking or other solutionsExperience documenting and implementing security controls; providing POAMs for vulnerabilities and security findingsExperience managing multiple database instances across environmentsExperience managing multiple data connections and interfacesCertified AWS Cloud PractitionerYou will wow us even more if you have some of these skills:Highly Desired - Familiarity with data integration with Postgres SQL and Elasticsearch Highly Desired - Familiarity with PSQL CLI and open-source Postgres GUIHighly Desired - Familiarity with AWS S3Highly Desired - Familiarity with Appian and SAILCertifications in RDBMS and/or NoSQL DatabasesExperience with Agile software development (Scrum, SAFe)Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD implementationExperience with Elasticsearch Kibana in developing visualizations/dashboards and conducting analysesExperience with other database systems (Relational / Graph / NoSQL) and data modelsExperience with Python, JSON, or JavaExperience with Intelligence Community data productsAWS Cloud Associate Certifications in at least one of the following: Data Engineer, CloudOps Engineer, Solutions Architect#NMECDTP-Leidos#ASBA If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
