CNC Machinist$28.00-$31.00/hour DOE1st Shift6:00am-3:00pm Monday-FridayQPS Employment Group has a great CNC Machinist position available in Tomball, TX. This is a 1st shift opportunity with a growing engineering and manufacturing team specializing in custom-machined components. This role is ideal for a machinist who enjoys working in a prototype and low-volume environment rather than a production setting.CNC Machinist Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Set up and machine parts according to drawings, setup sheets, and work instructionsRead and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job routersOperate, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC machinesMake tool and wear offsets as neededVerify program revisions and edit G-code when requiredPerform dimensional inspections using precision measuring instrumentsMaintain quality standards and accurately document inspection resultsAssist with routine machine maintenance and upkeepMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaCNC Machinist Requirements:Minimum 2-3 years of CNC machining or machine operation experienceExperience setting up CNC machinesAbility to read and edit G-codeExperience with Fanuc controls requiredStrong blueprint reading and interpretation skillsExperience performing offsets and machine adjustmentsLathe experience requiredExperience with HAAS or Doosan lathes preferredMill experience is a plusBackground in prototype, R&D, or custom machining environments preferredFamiliarity with precision measuring equipment and quality inspection processesPositive attitude and strong work ethicMust be authorized to work in the United StatesWhy This Opportunity?- Competitive pay based on experience- Stable Monday-Friday schedule with limited overtime- Opportunity to work on unique, custom-machined components rather than repetitive production work- Long-term potential-to-hire opportunity with excellent benefits available upon permanent hireAbout us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
