PRIMARY PURPOSE (WHY DOES THIS JOB EXISTS) The R&D team is responsible for reviewing the latest regulations from the IMO (International Maritime Organization) and marine classification societies, ensuring that our marine fire extinguishing systems meet the required standards. This includes reviewing regulations and assessing their impact on our systems and markets, planning and executing tests, preparing documentation to verify compliance when needed, and conducting product tests when necessary in collaboration with external research institutions. This role supports the company’s ability to respond effectively to regulatory changes and maintain product reliability and compliance in the marine safety industry.

PRIMARY DUTIES Review and initiate product development based on updates to IMO regulations or specific client requirements.

Verify the performance of systems and products through testing when required.

Perform hands‑on tasks during testing, including installation and removal of piping and equipment, as well as operating systems to confirm functionality and performance.

Prepare standard manufacturing drawings following product development and maintain them in their latest version.

Manage the test budget and oversee the execution of product testing during projects and follow up to ensure the issuance of test reports.

EDUCATION, TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Advanced or proficient level of English for technical communication

Knowledge of fire‑fighting systems, related regulations, approval procedures, and test facility construction

Practical skills in fire testing and fire‑fighting performance evaluation of main components

Experience in designing and operating test facilities and equipment

Understanding of mechanical products and hands‑on assembly experience

Experience in development work related to industrial equipment or systems

Ability to design electrical logic and work with PLC systems

Experience with fluid analysis tools such as CAE or CFD

Proficiency in AutoCAD

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field

More than 5 years of experience in a fire‑related or industrial equipment company

Certified craftsman gas
