Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse [Location]
This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients within a Progressive Care Unit setting. The role requires utilizing specialized nursing skills to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring safety and adherence to organizational policies and professional standards.
Job Details
Certifications, Education, and Experience: Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice or a valid compact RN license, with BLS certification. Experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months is preferred.
Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities:

Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs.
Formulate and revise patient care plans based on assessment data and input from patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
Implement and coordinate patient care according to physician orders, policies, and standards.
Delegate tasks and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed personnel.
Evaluate patient progress and response to interventions, making adjustments as necessary.
Document all assessments, plans, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
Participate in research activities, quality improvement initiatives, and mentorship roles when applicable.
Interact effectively with all levels of healthcare staff, patients, families, and external contacts.
