Job Description
This position is open to qualified candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a labor and delivery setting. Candidates must hold an active compact license and meet the following certification requirements:

BLS (Basic Life Support)
FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
AWHONN Intermediate (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, preferred)
Patient Care Details
The primary focus will be on patient diagnoses related to labor and preterm labor. The unit consists of:

• 8 labor rooms
• 4 triage rooms

Key responsibilities include:
Circulating in OB-GYN settings
Post-operative and pre-operative care
Scrubbing for procedures as necessary
Managing low-risk antepartum and low-risk labor and delivery patients
Special Procedures and Equipment
Familiarity with the following procedures and equipment is required:
Blood and blood products administration
Cardioversion and defibrillation
Cooling and warming blankets
Epidural pumps and PCA (Patient-Controlled Analgesia) pumps
Management of insulin, magnesium sulfate, and other medications as needed
Attending all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries
Unit Information
The staffing ratio in this setting is 1:1 to 3 patients per nurse. Floating to post-partum and NICU may be required based on skill set.
General Requirements
Candidates must have the following:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant nursing role
Proficiency in using the Epic charting system
Experience with the administration of medications and patient assessments

Candidates should be prepared to provide two professional references covering the last three years of experience. As part of the onboarding process, there may be non-billable training modules required to complete prior to the start date.
Travelers may also be expected to float to nearby facilities as needed. Refusing to float could result in termination of the assignment.
