Registered Nurse Emergency RoomThe role involves providing emergency care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The shift will be from 3 PM to 3 AM, with potential for a 36 or 48-hour workweek option. Candidates must be willing to float to units of equal or lesser acuity, including the ICU. The unit typically handles a daily census of approximately 165 patients, with 49 beds available. All rooms are monitored with a computer using an electronic health record system in each room. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The facility has a free-floating charge nurse to assist with operations. Candidates should be proficient in the care of ventilated patients and general emergency department procedures.
