Storm Damage Assessors
McCall Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking Storm Damage Assessors to work with us on a contract basis as we are called to respond during natural disasters. If you are a current or former Distribution/Transmission Journeyman or a Distribution Field Engineer with at least 5 years' experience and would like to be on our Storm Assessment Response Crew, we'd like to hear from you! You will be asked to complete a (brief) application and W-9 form. Having these forms completed in advance of a storm will allow us to respond more quickly when called up to serve a utility partner.
If Vehicle (4WD/AWD only) is provided by Assessor= $10 per hour will be added to cover gas and expenses. (Meals and lodging will be provided (If meals are not provided by the client, an additional $50 per overnight stay will be added to cover your meal expenses.)
**Assessors must be equipped with a smart phone device.
3 years' experience as a Journeyman Lineman or Distribution Field Engineer
~ Candidate must be capable of walking long distances to the power lines to check all right of ways under various terrain and weather conditions.
