Registered Nurse I (RN) - Hematology/Oncology- Remote

Job Overview Location: Oncology Consultants - Corpus Christi

Pay Range: $51,646.40 - $95,929.60

Provides safe, accurate and efficient patient care, including patient assessment, lab and vital sign review, medication safety, dose verification, drug administration, triage care when necessary, and effective communication to multidisciplinary team members. Adheres to Job Breakdown Instructions (JBIs) and Oncology Nurse's Society (ONS) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities Safely and accurately administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care, and non-oncologic agents as ordered.

Ensure accurate disposal of biohazardous waste per OSHA and NIOSH guidelines.

Perform new and ongoing patient education, continual assessment and support.

Maintain thorough, accurate and timely documentation in EMR; capture appropriate charges.

Adhere to proper patient identification procedures for all encounters.

Educate patients and caregivers on medications, side effects, and treatment plans.

Prioritize and respond to telephone triage calls and messages from various sources within appropriate time frames.

Assist with inventory and restocking of medical supplies, recommend purchases, and store stock timely.

Complete annual safety and nursing trainings and attend mandatory staff meetings.

Maintain confidentiality of all patient and employee information.

Assist in training new employees per JBIs; work at any company location or overtime as needed.

Job Qualifications and Requirements Unencumbered RN license in state of employment or multi-state license; current CPR and BLS certifications; valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel.

Experience with hematology/oncology patients in clinic or hospital setting.

Strong critical thinking, calm emergency response, and excellent oral and written communication in English.
