What You'll Do As an Occupational Therapist, you'll help patients regain independence and improve their ability to perform everyday activities following illness, injury, or disability. You'll collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized treatment plans that enhance patients' quality of life.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment
Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
Follow facility policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Active Canadian Occupational Therapist registration/licensure
S. state Occupational Therapy licensure
Passion for helping patients achieve greater independence and quality of life
