Substitute School Nurse

McLean School, a supportive and inclusive K12 community with campuses in Potomac, Maryland, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Substitute School Nurse to join our health team immediately on an as-needed basis during the 2026-2027 school year.

The Substitute Nurse will support our Kindergarten-Grade 4 (Falls Road Campus) and Grades 5-12 (Lochinver Lane Campus) students by:

Providing first aid and attentive nursing care to students and faculty/staff throughout the school day

Administering medications safely in accordance with Physician Orders and School Policy

Documenting visits and treatments using Magnus Health, our electronic medical record system

Partnering with students, families, and faculty/staff to promote student well-being and readiness to learn

Managing the Health Room independently with professionalism, warmth, and calm under pressure

We welcome candidates with pediatric or school nursing experience who bring both clinical expertise and a caring, approachable presence to our community.

Compensation: $40-$50 per hour, based on experience.
