At Havasu Regional Medical Center , our Nurse Extern I team members play a meaningful role in patient care while gaining valuable, hands-on experience under the guidance of our nursing professionals.

A Nurse Extern who excels in this role:
Performs direct patient care under the direction, delegation and supervision of a registered nurse while monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition appropriately.
Maintains positive professional relationships with patients, families, coworkers, and health care team.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Applicants should be currently enrolled in nursing school and in their first or second semester of the program . Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
