Travel Registered Nurse - Cardiac Care ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Surgical ICU position requiring one year of recent CSICU experience and Epic proficiency.
Work in a 12-bed Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CSICU) within a hospital setting

• Care for critically ill patients recovering from cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, or requiring intensive care interventions
• Patient population ranges from young adults to geriatric patients
• Staffing ratio is 1:1 for direct recovery of open heart patients and 1:2 for ICU patients
• Day shift schedule from 7:00am to 7:00pm
• 36 hours per week across 3 shifts
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Epic EMR experience required

Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license required
Minimum one year of general nursing experience required
Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; Epic EMR experience required
Deliver competent clinical nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular and ICU patients using the nursing process
Coordinate patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director
Perform bedside point of care testing as needed
Participate in patient and family education, discharge planning, and continuity of care communication
Engage in unit performance improvement activities and professional development
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Travel RN - Cardiovascular ICU
