Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Connections For Life

As a DSP, you’ll build meaningful relationships while supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities throughout Solano County.
Flexible Shifts That Fit Your Lifestyle Morning: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM (some start times may be 8:00 AM)
Afternoon/Evening: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Overnight: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Compensation & Benefits Starting wage: $19.61/hour (day shifts)
Overnight shifts: $Employee benefit eligibility (30+ hours per week) including medical, dental, and vision insurance

Schedule Expectations CFL provides customized supports based on each person’s Individual Service Plan (ISP). DSPs must be available to work no less than 8 hours weekly and must be able to travel to all Solano County service areas.
Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent
Valid driver’s license & proof of auto insurance
Dependable and reliable, ready to step in and support when needed
Respectful and compassionate, valuing confidentiality and inclusion
Responsibilities Supporting individuals in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming household
Helping with daily living skills such as meal prep, laundry, shopping, cleaning, and personal hygiene
Encouraging independence while providing respectful assistance with health and safety needs
Providing transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities
Building meaningful connections and encouraging friendships
Documenting services accurately and keeping communication open with CFL management
Promoting inclusion in the community and celebrating milestones, big or small
Physical Demands DSPs may assist with mobility, including transfers with a Hoyer lift and mobility aids (training provided). CFL has a no single‑lift policy to ensure the safety of both staff and individuals supported.
Job Type Flexible, variable part‑time position. Hours generally range from 25-40 per week and are based on the availability you share in your application.
